Just an example of one of our texts of the weeks. I do a different lesson with it each day (Conventions, Organization, Summarizing, Main Idea...etc). Well done!
This is a fun game that I like to play with the kids to review. I used to use an overhead the smart board is way cooler. Kids love it.

2 new pages to add to your primary calendar. 1 is using dimes and pennies to indicate the date ( or could be # of days in school.) The $ is on infinite cloner so it just slides onto the bank. The other coins are in the gallery if y ou want to use them too. For the second page, use the dice for 10's and 1's to generate a number. Spin the spinner to see what you have to do. The 100's chart is there for help. The spinner text can be easily edited by clicking on the double arrow - you can change the # of sections and their colours too. Enjoy! Cheryl

Water Cycle and Seasons Lesson for Grade 1/2. I thought I would share this lesson developed for my Grade 1/2 class. It's mostly about the Water Cycle, but I added some fun stuff about the Seasons for the Grade 1 students. Before using this lesson, we did some characteristics of water demonstrations as well as some separate experiments on evaporation, condensation, precipitation, and collection. This was a lesson to pull all of that together. I took the blank Water Cycle, mixed it up and copied it. The students cut and paste the mixed up water cycle back in order on construction paper. Hope it works for you. Mette

Grade 7 and 8 Math lessons - some can be modified for the junior grades

Circumference - with a link to a Alberta Learn website explaining how the diameter always goes "3 and a bit" times into the circumference of a circle. There is a video and an interactive activity for the kinesthetic learners. (I had problems showing the video at school, worked great at home, so this could be an at-home activity for the students)
Area of a Trapezoid
Lesson was based on Area of a Trapezoid using Nelson (5.4)
Angles This lesson is on measuring angles using a protractor, classifying angles, looking at the relationships in parrallel lines with a transversal. Slides can be adapted to grade 7 and 8 Math. The first few slides were taken and edited from a presentation that I saw by Ben Hazzard and the others I created using notebook software and Geometer's Sketchpad.
Probability
-- geared for grade 7's with the focus on theoretical vs experimental probability
